Ministry officials described the assaults as economically crippling, suspended operations at affected locations, and urged both Baghdad and the international community to step in to protect civilian energy infrastructure. The Kurdistan Region Presidency and the CTD (counter-terrorism directorate) strongly condemned the attacks, urging federal intervention and accountability, especially as these incidents follow a broader spike in drone assaults across the region since mid‑June.
