Former United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on X "The Kurdish people have proven themselves to be one of America's most reliable partners & provide a critical bulwark against Iranian influence. Their ambition for greater autonomy deserves our support."
He also shared a link to his latest article with the New York Post titled "The Kurds deserve better — how the US can support an ally’s bid for freedom"
These statements come amid Prime Minister Barzani's visit to Washington D.C. this week. Mr.Pompeo's bold and powerful support for the Kurds is a promising sign of growing relations in a US-Kurdish alliance.
